The revolution was not televised
Your father took off the tv knobs when you got in trouble at school
The revolution will not be televised
It will be hashed and tagged to death on Twitter
It will be connected, without those lost in a virtual reality of deceit
It will be charged, by those who forgot their iPhone universal cord
When fighting gerrymander laws
It will dissolve old body cells in bath water
It will puncture worn lumbar nerves
It will fracture bones made with calcium
It will educate, those beginning to understand, who have been on autopilot and unconscious
It will enlighten, those on the ground, in the courts
It will inspire, your forefathers and grandmothers and aunties
Then, it will bubble to the surface, spilling over the lips of your chemical beaker
Exploding to the sky
Falling to the soil
Freshening the air
